ABSTRACT
This project is on ‘’the assessment of the effect of human resource development on employee productivity’’ with particular emphasis on 7 Up bottling company, Kaduna; The research work is divided into five chapters, with each chapter linking the other. The objectives of the research is to identify the importance of human resource development as a means of achieving great performance in an organization. Two methods of data collection were used i.e. the primary and secondary sources of data and the data was analyzed using simple percentage method for easy understanding. The findings showed that after being trained as an employee on a particular job, some workers were not given enough time to justify their development and experience before they were transferred to another job. At the end of the research, it was recommended that 7 Up bottling company should not see the capital invested in this area as a waste. Rather, they should see it as an investment and that human resources should be transparent with those employees that have not attended long term development programme.
